Skin cancer surgery
In the vast majority of cases, skin cancer treatment includes surgical removal. Under certain circumstances, Mohs surgery or surgical removal in stages with microscopic control of the removed tissue may be indicated. This technique allows “saving” healthy skin and reduces the number of cases with tumor recurrence. Patients who have already been treated should follow a schedule of periodic check-ups to provide early diagnosis of new lesions. Mohs surgery is the GOLD STANDARD in the management of skin cancer, with the lowest recurrence rates in all comparative studies performed with other techniques. After removing the cancer, reconstructive surgery is performed to correct the defect by means of skin flaps. We seek to obtain the best aesthetic result with this.
Removal of skin growths (moles, cysts).
Mole removal:
Moles are pigmented lesions, it is important to recognize elements that suggest malignancy. If there is any doubt, they should be surgically removed with a biopsy. This is an outpatient procedure performed under local anesthesia. Benign lesions do not need to be removed, however, in some places they are bothersome and pose a risk of infection due to permanent friction or are considered unsightly, which is why they can also be removed.
Electrofulguration:
After applying local anesthesia, lesions such as seborrheic keratosis, ruby moles, fibrous lesions (fibrous papule of the face), etc. are carbonized.
Cryotherapy:
Cold is applied to freeze: warts, precancerous lesions, solar lentigines, seborrheic keratosis, among other lesions that apply.
Laser body liposculpture (SlimLipo)
Slimlipo (laser liposuction with Palomar brand) unlike traditional liposuction, is not performed under general anesthesia but rather under local tumescent anesthesia, leaves smaller scars, causes less bleeding, produces less post-operative pain and requires shorter recovery periods. SlimLipo selects the adipose and skin tissues in the areas to be treated using a wavelength that liquefies the fat and improves skin retraction.
Hair transplant
Micrografts are parts of the scalp that contain one, two or three follicular units. Micrografts have four to eight hair follicles. These small hair units allow for a natural appearance, replacing the doll-like or toothbrush-like look that has always been associated with hair transplant surgery.
Eyelid surgery (Blepharoplasty)
It is an intervention carried out to repair sunken or drooping upper eyelids. Droopy or sunken eyelids occur as we age, others are born with droopy eyelids or develop a disease that causes them to droop.
Surgery is necessary when drooping eyelids reduce vision or some people undergo this surgery to improve their appearance. Eyelid surgery does not remove wrinkles around the eyes, or lift the eyebrows, nor does it eliminate dark circles, but it does help a lot to have a more youthful and fresh appearance.
Earlobe repair (for earring)
With the popularity of earrings as accessories, elongation, and even complete tearing of the earlobes have become a common cause of earlobe repair. These tears are often the result of wearing heavy earrings, or a sudden, strong downward pull on the earrings. Cleft repair is relatively simple, has no complications, is very effective, and is performed under local anesthesia in approximately 20 minutes.
Hidradenitis suppurativa surgery
The lesions begin as clogged pores in the sweat and oil glands. Material builds up under the skin. The body's inflammatory system attacks these materials. This causes nodules and cysts to form. These lesions may break open under the skin and form an abscess. In some people, hidradenitis suppurativa gets worse over time. Scars may form in the affected area. These people may need surgery. Surgery is the most effective treatment for severe and chronic hidradenitis suppurativa and can be treated with CO2 Laser.
